I told them that for me it is a network of colleagues and friends. A little business mixed with pleasure.
Twitter is certainly much more than its, “What are you doing now?” tagline might suggest.
But that said, I thought it was better to show than to tell, so I fired up Twitter on my Treo and asked:
vargasl instant gratification
csumm Beware – Twitter is addicting. 😉
sandrafdzh everyone is welcome
ikepigott – Twitter is a sheet – a multi-purpose blank canvas – don't discount it
vaspers Tell them “Welcome to the rushing river of brevities, fast links, and what we ate for lunch today AKA Twitterville.” LOL
cc_chapman Tell them not to be afraid to experiment a little
gilliatt The first tweet is always free…
gilliatt …or were you looking for something productive? ;-
ikepigott it's a cross-platform communications tool – the Rosetta stone of blogs, RSS, SMS, and Instant Messaging.
prCarrD instant information sharing. Lots of smart and entertaining people at your disposal.
paullyoung Distraction from lunch time business meetings *yawn* 😉
MikeDriehorst Twitter: being in a large room with “friends,” but the conversations are typed/electronic/Web-based.
vargasl Addiction! Useful Content Feed and Instant Gratification
DougH Twitter= Instant feedback network
Thanks to my friends on Twitter for really making this experiment fly. The clients and corporate communication types that you communicated with are psyched and I am more the believer in the value of Twitter.
For the rest of you, if you haven't at least looked into it, I suggest you do it and see how it enhances your overall knowledge.
