Kami Watson Huyse APR, CEO and Founder
Kami Watson Huyse is a national leader on the topic of public relations and social media strategy. A 20-year-veteran of public relations, she speaks at social media events and conferences all over the country and her work in social media has earned her two Society for New Communications Research Social Media awards and IABC’s Gold Quill of Excellence Award. She is the strategic architect for many successful social media campaigns and oversees account management for Zoetica.
Her ideas and work in social media have been featured in several books including The New Rules of Marketing and PR, and Now is Gone, Professional Blogging for Dummies, and the book, Welcome to the Fifth Estate, where she wrote a guest chapter on social media measurement. She also wrote a guest chapter on crisis communication in social media in the PR textbook, Public Relations Writing: Form and Style. She also serves on the Board of Directors of Civilination, a nonprofit dedicated to taking a stand against online harassment, character assassination and violence.
She was named PR Professional of the Year in San Antonio, was recognized for a Social Media award by the Austin-American Statesman, has been named one of the 100 most powerful Women on Twitter by Twitter Grader, was listed as one of the 30 top people to follow in PR on Twitter by e-Releases, one of AG Beat’s Top 50 Influencers, a Top 100 Power Influencer in Houston, and one of 50 Follow-Worthy Marketing Measurement and Digital Analytics Experts.

Sandra Fernandez, Account Executive
Sandra Fernandez has more than 15 years of experience as a professional communicator with higher education, government, and non-profit organizations. She has worked as public relations manager at the Houston Public Library and as social media account supervisor at Lopez Negrete Communications, where she created and implemented social media programs for various clients. She is the publisher of HispanicHouston.com, a website that covers events and cultural happenings for the Hispanic community in the greater Houston area. Sandra also teaches government, small businesses and non-profits how to use social media successfully through conferences, workshops, panels and presentations. She is fluent in Spanish and English.
Julie Pippert, Account Executive
Julie is a leader in digital media outreach and online communication strategy. She’s spoken at major national conferences and events about the macro-impact of social media and how to use it as an effective tool, particularly for causes. As a consultant, Julie has primarily worked with associations and nonprofit organizations. Julie sat on the American Cancer Society’s Blogger Advisory Council. She has managed the Blue Star Museums program for Blue Star Families, a support organization for military families, in conjunction with the National Endowment for the Arts. She assisted with the American Cancer Society launch of their Choose You campaign, and co-founded and was managing editor of the Choose You blog, coordinating mini campaigns such as the Choose You stories, designed to encourage women to take positive steps towards a more healthful lifestyle. She has been published in the Houston Chronicle, The Guardian, and Chicago Sun Times, and was a contributing author to the spectacular celebration of women’s work, Kirtsy Takes a Bow. She was named one of “The Stir’s” 30 Political Mom Bloggers Who Will Change Your Vote,” has consulted with national and local political campaigns, was an editor at MOMocrats, TheMotherhood.com, and is the Houston editor of “Savvy Source.”
Traci Shannon, Social Media Strategist
Traci Shannon has worked in marketing for over 8 years making her move to social media marketing five years ago. She has worked directly with national brands as well as agencies to create, develop, and implement online branding strategies. She also has experience with traditional marketing and ad campaigns. Traci is an actress, brand advocate, blogger, and mom.
