Ah, so much fun and so little time.
After a week of deep conversation and debate over the role of PR in the blogosphere, I needed to blow off my creative steam.
First, there are the contests that require you be creative:
- The original, write a caption for a New Yorker cartoon and win the signed cartoon. You can enter, vote or see previous winners.
- Write a Priceless ad for Mastercard, and win props if they use your text in a national ad. You can choose from two commercials. For the cynical among us, read the article by Seth Stevenson at Slate magazine, The End of a Played-Out Ad Campaign? Priceless.
- Produce and write captions for a Chevy Tahoe commercial and win prizes. I found this to be the most fun to do, but after putting my commercial together, I couldn’t submit it. If you can’t submit your commercial, come back here and let me know about it. Then, mosey on over to B.L. Ochman to read how GM just doesn’t get it.
Fun and Games
- If you are the kind of person that wants you technology to work for you, instead of you working for it, try this cool, and understated, game site called Orisinal. The site has wonderful, creative and understated games. Turn off your speakers and no one will even know you are being entertained.
- I found it through another nifty site, Daily Candy, which delivers a daily e-mail of interesting consumer products (as they claim, “the hot, the new and the undiscovered”).
