How to Supercharge your Networking on LinkedIn and Other Platforms

If you're looking to take your LinkedIn networking to the next level but feel unsure where to begin, Zoetica Media founder Kami Huyse offers a proven way to supercharge your efforts.

These steps below are designed to help you build meaningful connections, expand your professional network, and enhance your online presence. But they’re not limited to LinkedIn – they can also be applied across other social media platforms, making them versatile tools for strengthening relationships and broadening your influence.

Step 1: Create a List of Champions

“This is the most important step,” says Kami. “Your champions are people that have done business with you, or that support you in what you do.” These individuals are the people you should make an extra effort to stay in active contact with.

She recommends creating a dedicated list of champions, even segmenting them into different categories such as actual clients, people who support you by sharing your content or referring you to others, and so on.

In addition to each person’s name, record their handle and a link to their account or page.

Step 2: Schedule Time to Connect

If you’re unsure what your superpower is, Kami says there are three simple ways to figuring it out.

“Once you have a list of people that are really the kind of people you want to keep in touch with, then, honestly, you need to… schedule a time to connect,” she says. The best way to do this is by adopting Kami’s 2×2 Method which consists of making a new post or leaving comments, and connecting with two new people, every day.

She recommends dedicating about 20 minutes a day to this activity, determining ahead of time how often you’ll do it for each individual person. “So, for your clients I would suggest you keep up with them on a weekly basis, for your champions at least every other week.” Blocking this time on your calendar is made easier by the fact that the engagement doesn’t have to be in real time, but can be whenever is most convenient for you.

Step 3: Search Hack on LinkedIn

The third step is actually a LinkedIn search hack that Kami’s loves because it’s simple and highly effective. Follow the instructions below, which she also walks though her livestream:

  • Log into your LinkedIn account.
  • Click inside the search bar and hit enter. This brings up an unfiltered list of people, posts, and products.
  • On the left sidebar, click on “Posts.”
  • Click the “All filters” tab, and filter by “Posts.”
  • Next, in the “Sort by” option, click on “Latest” and scroll down to “From member,” then add the name of the person you’re looking for.
  • Hit the blue “Show results” button at the bottom.
  • Save the URL and put it into a document. (Kami uses a Google doc for this.)
  • When you’re ready to implement your daily 2×2, click on the saved URLs of the people you want to interact with, and leave a comment on a relevant post.

Kami says doing this is “so easy,” adding that, “I feel it's like a superpower that you can then put into your LinkedIn marketing that will make it so much easier for you to keep in touch with the people that matter the most.“

Kami is offering everyone a hands-on opportunity to dive deeper into techniques that help them get better results online.
