Zoetica founder Kami Huyse loves helping clients get strong results in the quickest and easiest way possible. She’s constantly trying to find winning approaches to shortcut results.

And she’s learned that to make such wins happen, two things need to be put in place:

  1. create the right foundation and,
  2. implement the correct strategies to capture and keep clients’ attention.

Creating the Right Foundation

Kami realized that the first step is to make sure that we, as professional communicators and marketers, don’t get in our own way. 🔍

As experts, we often assume people are operating from the same foundational knowledge we are. We think everyone knows and understands the basics. The result is that we sometimes end up jumping a few steps ahead of those we’re trying to serve, leaving them confused and possibly even frustrated. And once we confuse our clients we lose.

That’s why we need to remember not to overly complicate any processes. In fact, we should aim to simplify wherever we can, both in the explanations we use and in the actual processes we develop and execute for clients and prospects. 🧵

Implementing Winning Strategies to Capture and Keep Attention

The next step is to implement three strategies to help capture and keep the attention of potential clients.

1. Focus on a narrowly defined audience.

The more you narrow down and know your audience, the better. It also makes it easier to connect with them on social media, blogs, podcasts, and everywhere else they congregate. 👭🏽

Kami recommends using the tool SparkToro to help identify your target audience’s demographics and interests. Pro tip: Use your audiences' exact hashtags and frequently used phrases!

2. Create steps for your clients to take in your process. Creating defined steps and a dedicated process for your clients makes it easier for them to work with you because it gives them something to  hold on to as they navigate their way through. Kami recommends 3-7 steps as an ideal number – not too many and not too few.

By sharing your unique process, your clients will know what to expect and how to move from one step and from one stage to the next.

3. Before they even buy, look for a way to help them generate a quick win.

Give your prospects something they can try out before inviting them to use your product or service. That way they’ll see the value of what you offer and develop trust that you’re not trying to force them into a pressure-filled sale.

Kami applied this very approach in her recent Instant Authority workshop where she helped PR and marketing consultants identify 90 days of strategic content for their consultancy or agency by using the Cornerstone Content Generator.

To learn more about how to shortcut results for your clients, listen to Kami’s livestream! Also, it's embedded at the end of the post.👂

Remember, the less friction in your sales process, the more likely people will end up buying from you. Clients are more than willing to pay for your knowledge and ability to help save them time and effort. 🥂
