Facebook is still the Grandaddy of social networks, but it is no longer a purely organic channel where you can build a community and expect that they will be engaged with your brand. Facebook has two goals:
- To make more money from companies and organizations who maintain Facebook Pages by selling advertising
- To drive more use of the platform by those who use it in order to do more of #1
